The existing Ballito Junction centre is being expanded to a 82 000m² Regional Mall. The Ballito Junction expansion will comprise of three levels of retail serviced by five levels of structured parking. There are rights in place to expand to 92 000m² to meet future market demands.
Ballito Junction is located in a market area characterized by middle to high income households of LSM 4 – 10+ in an area of high growth. This reflects a demand for food, fashion, homeware and entertainment as well as daily necessities. With excellent visibility from the N2 highway, Ballito Junction will act as an interceptor to the greater region and is ideally located on the corner of Ballito Drive and the M4.
The current look of the existing centre will experience a facelift to ensure a seamless transition from old to new. Straight lines, natural tones and textures, complimented by natural light are the key factors behind the design of this Regional Mall Development. Ballito Junction Regional Mall will be book ended by major anchor retailers encouraging the flow of energy throughout the mall. These will include Woolworths, Edgars, Game and Nu Metro cinema as well as the existing Pick n Pay and DisChem.
Ballito Junction regional mall will cater for the primary market being the residents of Ballito, Zimbali, Shaka’s Rock, Salt Rock and Simbithi consisting of approximately 65 504 people. The Secondary regional market consists of Stanger (24km), Tongaat (15km), Umhlali (8km), and Shefield Beach (7km) consisting of approximately 512 000 people.The new Ballito Junction will open on 23 March 2017.
