Flanagan & Gerard History

Pat Flanagan and Peter Gerard met in the 1970’s while cutting their teeth at Rapp and Maister, where under Michael Rapp they worked on Sandton City as well as Eastgate. In 1979, Pat and Pete founded RMS Syfrets, which later became Colliers RMS and together,  were responsible for the development of many of the country’s largest property investments which include Riverside Mall, Lakeside Mall, Southgate, Somerset Mall, Mimosa Mall, Northgate, and the Boardwalk in Richards Bay to name a few.

After departing from Colliers RMS in 2000, Flanagan & Gerard was founded shortly after and has gone on to successfully develop award winning regional and high-end niche community centres that have received acclaim for design and functionality. The company’s core focus is to develop and invest in dominant regional shopping centres in outer lying areas, and high-end niche community centres. It is with these fundamentals that Flanagan & Gerard has been able to grow into a highly respected development company in the shopping centre industry.
